| Unreasonably poor performance on high end PC Posted: 21 Dec 2019 08:16 AM PST I've ranted several times and I bloody can't understand this game. When it came out I used to play it on Core i7 920, 18GB RAM and Radeon HD7950 at 1080p on Ultra and it was slightly struggling but worked fast enough in general. In meanwhile, I've updated the system to Core i7 5820k which is overclocked to 4.5GHz on all cores, has 32GB RAM and GTX 1080Ti. I also have everything on 2TB Samsung 850 Pro 2TB SSD drive. The thing is, game runs WORSE now on HIGH than it did on HD7950 on Ultra back then. How does this makes any kind of sense?! I've also tried fiddling with my tweaker and frankly, it hardly does anything. Meanwhile, I can throw ANY other game that was just released at my system and it'll run it butter smooth without a single issue with insane framerate on max settings. So, I don't know what's going on with this game, but for such old game to not be running at basically locked 144fps on the kind of system I have is just straight up bizarre and makes no sense at all. What's going on? I did figure out that Windows 10 Core Isolation makes things even worse, but even with that disabled now, it's just not running perfectly smooth and fast.
