I am a noob I just really started getting into this game and love it, but I recall trying the game out way before and i swear it had different enemies am I wrong or have they changed the grunts to these pig guys recently ?

I remember in pvp this game had white versions of existing zeds. A white and blue clot and spider. I've also seen videos of armoured zeds. Were these basegame or mods or map based on higher difficulty?

Freeze grenade question

So when you use freeze grenades at fleshpounds/quarter pounds, does it need to he a direct hit or is it random to get the freeze effect because when i throw the grenade it freezes most zeds except the fleshpounds/quarter pounds and bosses
