    Epic Games Launcher Stats Issue [Megathread]

    To avoid future duplicate posts on the front page, this megathread will serve as a news thread for the stats issue for Epic Games Launcher versions of KF2, as reported multiple times here on this subreddit.

    This megathread has been established following multiple reports made here, all of which reported the same issue.

    Official updates:

    16 Sept 7.51PM - Yoshiro on TWI forums: We are trying to replicate this issue but so far have not had luck. We are looking for points of commonality between users such as but not limited to:

    • Antivirus/firewall software

    • Other software that is running

    • File backup services such as One Cloud or Google Drive

    And please make sure that your mydocs/mygames/killing floor 2 folder is not write protected. If it is please note that (then un protect it please).

    FAQ

    What is this bug?

    Users are reporting that all of their perk progression has been reset back to 0.

    While this bug has not been officially acknowledged yet, TWI is currently working to investigate this reported issue.

    How long will it take for this glitch to be resolved?

    It's up to anyone's guess, but do have patience, and hope it gets resolved soon! In the meanwhile, do keep a lookout for more updates from official sources (i.e. the TWI's forums)

    Does this affect the consoles (PS4/Xbox) and Steam (live/beta) versions of the game?

    Nope, console versions are not affected.

    Unconfirmed for Steam versions of the game.

    The Tripwire Bug Report subforums is the best way to bring a bug to Tripwire's attention.

    Potential Firestorm Buff Idea

    Since the idea of Firestorm is presumably to increase the range of perk weapons, maybe buff it to give: Tighter Choke to Dragonsbreath and increased projectile speed to the Spitfire, Helios Rifle and Husk Cannon (as well as the upcoming HRG Scorcher)

    So as of now the skill is: "Increases range of Caulk n Burn, Flamethrower and Microwave Gun"

    The new version would be: "Increases effective range of perk weapons. (Tighter Dragonsbreath spread, faster projectiles, increased Caulk n Burn, Flamethrower, and Microwave Gun range).

    Just a thought. I'm open to criticism but this is my idea for making Firestorm ever potentially worth picking over Heat Wave

    My relationship with this game is strange. I'll play every single day for a few hours at a time, 2-3 hour sessions. Then one day just stop and I won't touch it for months, sometimes half a year. Then one day I'm right back to it. I've been doing this since I bought the game for the past 3-4 years.

    Really very buggy game?

    New(ish) to KF2, got it free a couple of months ago on EPIC. Is it a very buggy game? Crashes if there are a lot of explosions; often crashes if you join a game, decide to not join, leave and join another, it will then crash trying to join the second. File (the exe) often corrupts and needs "Verifying" or "Repairing" by EPIC which takes 20-30 mins.

    Geforce RTX 2070s on a 1440p 27LG850 monitor, 16GB, i7-4770k. Unless it's the HDD the game is on?

    So I'm having a bit of an issue in which whenever I boot up Killing Floor 2 it no longer shows my Epic Games Account. It gives me the name Player0 and when I tried to go to a solo game it gave me Player. I cannot find any way to re sync the account to Killing Floor 2. Which sucks, because I was working on leveling Field Medic earlier today and it started after noon.
    Any way for me to reconnect it without reinstalling the game?
