    Kf2 isn't designed well enough for a "don't take damage" challenge

    I love this game. I've got over 1k hours on it. But I have to run a lvl 25 commando on 10 wave normal just to hope I get lucky and get a round finished without taking chip damage. The spawn system is so poorly designed that crawlers and clots can appear quite literally DIRECTLY behind you and cause unavoidable damage.

    I honestly hate this challenge.

    Inventory Not Loading

    Hello all! I recently got this game and I love it so far! One small gripe: My inventory doesn't seem to want to load up. It just tells me "Inventory is populating." Is there a way I can fix this or do I need to wait like I did with the Dosh vault bug? Thanks in advance!

    Instead of making it buy random stuff for you, why not just make it rebuy ammo, nades, and armor? It would help players who already have their ideal load out just refresh their equipment and hand out dosh if they need too.

    No Perks/Can't Play Killing Floor 2

    Hi all,

    I can't play Killing Floor 2, it shows no Perk next to my name in the Main Menu and when I go to play Solo or Training, it doesn't show my name in the Squad list and I can't start the game. Multiplayer doesn't work either, it just lets me spectate, it won't spawn even after the round is over. I can't change perks in the Perk menu either.

    I've tried:
    Deleting the Killing Floor 2 Config folder
    Reinstalling the game
    Validating game files
    Resetting ranks/perks back to 0
    Reinstalling Steam
    Disabling the "Keep games saves in the Steam Cloud" option.
    Formatting and reinstalling Windows.
    A different PC.

    None of it worked.

    I've also logged a fault with Tripwire about 3 weeks ago but they haven't fixed it yet or provided any ideas.
    Has anyone else had this problem and been able to fix it? Or does anyone have any ideas?

    Tbh the biggest thing that bugs me about KF2

    I still love Killing Floor 2 and minus the stupid "take no damage" Weekly challenge have had great fun coming back for the latest event. But the thing that still bugs me non-stop about this game is how poorly it's optimized. I have to close literally every program to run KF2 because it takes over 70% of my CPU. It takes around 5 minutes (no exaggeration!) to launch and even when I do play (solo!) the game still experiences mild stuttering issues. This happens both on my gaming laptop (can run many high-end games on high to medium graphics settings but struggles to run KF2 on low) and my gaming PC (can run most things without hiccups; lags slightly with KF2.)

    Team Fortress 2 runs better than this game and that game is 10 years old, running on the infamously obtuse Source engine. I also don't have any special configs for TF2 to make it run better. XCOM 2 runs better than this game with several high-end graphics mods, even on the highest graphics settings. XCOM 2 was the game I literally purchased a new PC to play because my old PC couldn't run it. I don't try to run Crisis or anything like that on my systems and tbh I don't really buy the latest / most graphically intensive games. But KF2 isn't graphically intensive itself and I can't run it with low graphics and most of the gore particles disabled.

    No real point to this thread; just venting about this game's optimization. I can excuse a lot of the smaller problems with this game, and even the bigger ones like the $5 DLC guns. But no other game I have ever played takes over 10 minutes to launch. Freaking Garry's Mod launches faster than this game and I'm subscribed to over 600 different addons to G-Mod.

    Epic launcher version same playerbase as steam?

    Hi all, after many years away from coop shooters ie L4D2 is got back into the genre a few months back thanks to trying out deep rock galactic on game pass pc.

    However i soon realised the game pass version did not share the same player base as the steam version so it was pretty dead.

    I bought the steam version soon after and never looked back.

    This got me thinking while im currently downloading killing floor 2 on epic does it share the same player base?

    For the seasonal rewards, the other achievements are doable, but with like 2 edars split between at least 5+ players per wave, getting to the quota seems extremely slow.
