    SWAT is fine; their passives just suck

    Time and time again I see people complaining about the strength of SWAT which I truthfully don't understand. Yes the SMGs do less damage but they're often more precise or have higher stumble power than their Assault Rifle counterparts. SWAT's guns are really strong when upgraded and they have some great options like the MP5, UMP, Glock, and of course the HRG Nail Gun. Their skills are also good to keep mobility up while still aiming precisely and also keep Zeds at bay with increased stumble.

    With that in mind: SWAT's passives and some of their skills are really awful. When comparing SWAT's passives to Commando's passives it's honestly laughable. Commando gets:

    • The ability to see invisible Zeds and health bars (shoot at health bars when you can't see the Zed)

    • Zed time refreshes

    • Reload speed increase

    • Recoil reduction

    • (Night Vision)

    • Hollow Point Rounds, further increasing their damage bonus to 55% max

    • Some of the strongest guns in the game, including the FAL and HM-401

    Compare that to SWAT which gets:

    • More ammo capacity lul (something that Commando gets at level 5)

    • Bullet resistance (literally only matters against EDARs and bosses, and you're not going to play SWAT against the boss)

    • Weapon switch speed (Doesn't matter in the slightest now that wep upgrades exist)

    There's also the fact that a lot of SWAT's skills are only good in the early game which makes it annoying to swap between the two, but that's only a small gripe.

    Regardless I don't think SWAT's guns need much of a change but their passives do. Here's what I'd change / add to SWAT's passive abilities:

    • Keep damage increase and mag size increase

    • Just give SWAT Night Vision because literally no one's going to complain

    • Replace bullet resistance with stumble power: 7% per level maxing out at 175% increased stumble (this is so that you'll have 105% stumble at level 15, about on-par with the level 15 stumble ability)

    • Replace weapon switch speed with something (I'm debating either less recoil or more damage to put it on-par with Commando. Cheaper ammo from the Trader Pod could also be nice)

    • LEVEL 5 ONWARDS - Spawn with 50% Kevlar (so you don't have to take Heavy Armor Training on Wave 1)

    • LEVEL 10 ONWARDS - Spawn with dual 9mms (so you don't have to take Close Combat Training on Wave 1)

    • LEVEL 20 15 ONWARDS - Spawn with 100% Kevlar (so you don't have to take Assault Armor on Wave 1)

    • CLOSE COMBAT TRAINING - Also increases damage of all (other) perk weapons by 15% (This would give the skill a use in the late game when you aren't using your pistol and knife)

    • SUPPRESSION ROUNDS - Replaced with Tenacious from the Commando. (Stumble increase is now passive, so one can choose between either more health and armor or more ammo. Health increase helps HAT SWATs resist Sirens)

    • ASSAULT ARMOR - Replaced with either Hollow Point Rounds or Eat Lead from Commando. (AA was effectively moved to level 15 by comparison. Replacing AA with a damage ability would give the player the choice between either more DPS or CC ability with Cripple)

    • BATTERING RAM - Rework (I seriously have no idea how to make this ability viable by any sense of the word)

    Basically im a new player, just bought the game today, I am confused about the crates, Are they free or do you have to pay for them? There is the dash vault crates or whatever, You get them just for playing right? But do you need to buy keys to open them or something like that?

    The game is like.. 10$ now. And I want to get it. But Im concerned about the population of players in it. Is there any site like steamcharts that gives me a specific number of players? Or any ps4 player here can tell me how popular it is right now!

    I would never pay 9.99 for just one weapon. If it goes on like that, Killing Floor 2 will be dead for me. It's a shame. I would pay that, if the update had been bigger. But the update delivered only one! Community! Map... Seems like Tripwire can lick my b...ls, if the next update ain't a bomb of an update! I'm looking forward... There is still hope

    What’s the proper way get cosmetics with out buying them?

    I've recently purchased KF2 because it was on sale, and I've been playing non stop for the past 3 days. And I've came to notice that I'm almost receiving nothing for a win.

    I've tried playing solo and with other players, I've beaten a map on every difficulty and all the lengths, and I really don't wanna sink money into a game this late into its shelf life.

    Is there a proper way to receive cosmetics?

    So I like zombie games, I like everything class/role-based and I enjoy shooters. This games has all of that, looks pretty good but looking up info I found that since 2018 the developers have been messing up with the game (changing enemies to make them tankier, making weapons alike and classes meaningless compared to when the game came out...) mostly based on this steam review from 2018. So, I want to ask you, the still very active players of Killing Floor 2 if the game has finally come to a decent enough state, is there fun to be had for a new comer nowadays? or have the developers definitely mess up the game and it's not as enjoyable as it used to be?

    Medic tips and tricks?

    I got the game like 3-4 days ago and I really like it, specifically the medic class. I've been playing with friends recently and we've been exploring the game together. I want to get better at the medic class and I don't know much about what's good/not etc in the game, so could anyone give me tips and or tricks on how to play the medic, the best loadouts (for guns and his tree). And and all help is appreciated!
