Any tips to solo HoE Power Core as Commando? Posted: 24 Oct 2019 09:00 AM PDT I'm trying to do this for my daily. On short games the best I do is reach wave 3 and get completely overwhelmed even with AK12 and the FAL. I see videos on people soloing this but they all seem much easier, because the zeds don't seem to run on them! Was something changed on the game? Because when I play all zeds spawn and run towards me like crazy, except for the ones that don't run, but the slashers, stalkers, crawlers, all move much faster than I see on the videos. And the map doesn't help, dozens of spawn points around you. So yeah, any tips? Maybe specific guns I should get or skills? [link] [comments]

Killing Floor 1 zoom bug, would love some help Posted: 23 Oct 2019 06:08 PM PDT Hey guys, recently I noticed that in some servers (and in solo) my camera is zoomed in more than normal. It seems to be only in custom game modes like Insane mod or test maps where I'm not zoomed in. I can still change my FOV with the console command but it doesn't actually affect the zoom, it just makes it hard to play. I also reinstalled the game but no luck there. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated :) (Couldn't find the identical spot in both games but compare hands on pistol) Video showing the difference and changing FOV Edit: Just wanted to add that I just joined a friends server which has a custom mod and I was still zoomed in, really not sure what the connection is now :( Trying to reinstall again and delete the folder manually because I think some files remained last time. Eat Lead vs Hollow Point Rounds Posted: 23 Oct 2019 11:20 PM PDT This is a discussion I've seen very heavily leaning towards one side for a very long time now, and I can understand why that is for the maybe "slightly lower" skill level players (this isn't meant to be a dig at all please don't massacre me, my pc exploded 😥 and I'm stuck playing it on ps4 now so kind of fragile on the subject of KF2 in general lmao) but I'm personally not quite so sure why most of the "higher level" players tend to choose Hollows. The recoil reduction doesn't seem to be at all necessary to me personally (although of course wonderful if you're maybe not so good at control to begin with) considering even on controller I can fairly easily dump FAL on full auto into a roughly scrake head+maybe a little shoulders/neck sized space from a fair distance. Obviously not long range but say roughly from the main gate on Asylum to the triple archway across the street. That may be due to my playing generally on a higher sensitivity than most sane humans, but I'm not sure because of course I genuinely can't play at all on lower sensitivity settings to check. I tend to be able to manage mostly headshots on trash even in split second succession (like 85-90% maybe) so even for trash the extra recoil reduction isn't necessary. So in my particular case if we ignore HCM and simply put the two skills head to head on their own merits it's a battle between DPS (Damage Per Shot ofc) and DPM (Damage Per Mag) And if we really want to simplify it down it's a battle between +30% potential DPM and +100% potential DPM. (If there isn't some specific math equation we have to get down to calculating per bullet for HPR) Of course yes that extra DPS is an advantage in 100% headshot kill time but I usually can put down a scrake pretty quick regardless. (Obviously not support or demo decap quick but I'm sure you get the gist) So potentially Eat Lead could provide 70% more DPM, depending of course on individual skill/recoil control. Of course every bullet counts on HoE so ammo cost is the only solid set in stone downside I'm experiencing. Which is somewhat decreased by the increase in ammo from pickups, but once in a while I will have to do some scavenging for those, mainly fighting bosses. For reference I do play mostly solo just because it offers a lot more freedom in general for me to play around with all sorts of different combinations and not get kicked simply for atypical skill choice even when top frag, (maybe a little of kill steal rage or something thrown in there? I wouldn't really know and considering it is a coop game it would be a little strange to me) and because I've had difficulty finding a lobby where everyone doesn't inexplicably die at the start of the last wave and leave you alone againt a couple hundred zeds... I'd certainly like to hear if anyone else has come to a similar conclusion (or if they've tried both and prefer HPR that's perfectly fine too) and like to perhaps inspire some to test and compare the two in game for themselves. (Also would like it if we could keep things constructive and not have things devolve into the usual insults and such I've seen on this topic in the past) [link] [comments]
