Posted: 05 Sep 2020 03:13 PM PDT Imagine it, an upgrade for a weapon that needs no cosmetic change, purely mechanical. There would be an intial cost to convert all your ammo to the new type, and ammo price goes up based on ammo chosen. Maybe... 10%-20% depending. Rifle and General Ammo Types Hollow-Points: Does more damage to soft targets, less to hard targets. Negates any penetration or lowers it by at least one level. Armor-peircing: Does more damage to hard targets, less to soft targets. Adds at least one level of penetration. Incendiary: Exhange a small amount of base damage for Fire Damage-Over-Time. Firebug perks apply. Explosive: Same as incendiary(maybe larger base damage decrease?) For a small area of affect explosive. Like the Grenade Pistol pellets. Demo Perks apply. Shotgun Ammo Types Slugs: Exchange all pellets for one large projectile, adds penetration, turns most shotguns effectively into a rifle. Sharp/Slinger perks may apply? Fletchette/Nails(?): Less base damage per pellet for higher penetration and longer range. Could add richochette. (Vlad would still do it the best) Dragons' Breath: Shorter Range and less base damage, Fire DOT and Firebug perks apply. (Maybe groundfire? Or that could stay exclusive to the Trenchgun) Explosive Rounds: Could either fire explosive pellets, (EG; Grenade Pistol) or could fire an explosive Slug. Demo Perks apply. Launcher Ammo Types EMP: Lose most damage for a stun (duration can depend on original damage. 40mm-Medium Stun/Rocket-Long Stun) Incendiary: Lose some base damage for a larger radius, inflicting Fire DOT. Firebug Perks may apply. Healing Gas: Lose most base damage for a lingering cloud of gas. Heals teammates, poisons Zeds. Medic Perks may apply. Cryo: Lose base damage for an Icey explosion, coating the ground in a slowing frost. Can freeze direct hit targets solid. These are some basic ideas and while I know it would be a lot of work and realistically these won't be implemented, I just figured I'd still share my idea and get feedback. Maybe it'll entertain and let you imagine what could have been. Or you can call me an idiot who doesn't know what he's talking about, either way. [link] [comments] | ||
Posted: 05 Sep 2020 10:07 PM PDT Recently I haven't been able to hear any comms from gamechat, game sounds work fine - i just can't hear any of the players. This has been happening a lot lately, and it sucks specially when you're in a 6 player endless game on a high wave. This wasn't a problem a few months ago so If anyone got the same problem or might know a fix, let me know. [link] [comments] |
